No fatalities due to COVID-19 were reported in the Sultanate over the last 24 hours on Wednesday while there are no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit.
Three cases have been placed in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.
The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country was shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.
Meanwhile, there were 606 recovered cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number to 211,788.
The coverage rate for children aged five to 11 with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine is 81.2 per cent, while 54.6 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.
The coverage rate of Brunei population with three shots of COVID-19 vaccine remained at 75.8 per cent, while eight per cent of the populace has received the fourth dose.
