FIDE Master (FM) Yee Soon Wei emerged champion of His Majesty’s 76th Birthday Chess Rapid Championship 2022 at the Brunei Chess Centre recently.
The rapid tournament, which attracted around 60 participants, is the first of two events organised by the Brunei-Muara Chess Championship Committee in collaboration with the Brunei Chess Federation (BCF).
The chess festival will conclude with a blitz tournament this Sunday.
