A civil service duo charged with corruption on Monday introduced their lawyer in court who in turn asked for time to look into the case.

Defence counsel Yusof Halim is now representing Deputy Permanent Secretary (Civil Service, Welfare, International and Media) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, 50, and Assistant Chief of News and Current Affairs at Radio Television Brunei (RTB) Jonathan Kho Chew Sen, 45.

Haji Muhammad Suffian, who at the time of allegation, was the director of RTB, is purported to have received a luxury car from Jonathan Kho.

Jonathan Kho is charged with gifting the luxury car as a bribe to Haji Muhammad Suffian to secure a job promotion.

Chief Magistrate Pengiran Hajah Norismayanti binti Pengiran Haji Ismail adjourned the case to June 6.
