The sighting of the new moon of Syawal 1443 Hijrah will be carried out nationwide on May 1.
Syar’ie judges as well as officers from the Syariah Courts, State Judiciary Department, Prime Minister’s Office, Survey Department and Ministry of Development will attempt to sight the new moon at Bukit Agok in Jerudong, Tanjung Batu in Kampong Sabun, Bukit Lumut in Belait District and Bukit Ambog in Tutong District.
The announcement of the 1st of Syawal for 1443 Hijrah will be broadcast on Radio Television Brunei as soon as the results are obtained.
