Following torrential rainfall that occurred overnight, several low-lying areas in the Belait District were flooded on Monday, according to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).
Among the affected areas were Simpang 1366, Kampong Merangking Hilir, and Jalan Kandul both located at Mukim Bukit Sawat where flooding of 0.53 metres (m) and 0.55m were observed by the FRD.
Other low-lying areas in the district remain unaffected by the heavy rain.
