His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will leave for Tokyo, Japan to attend the Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation which begins on December 15.
While in Tokyo, His Majesty is expected to hold separate meetings with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, Emperor of Japan and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The commemorative summit is expected to adopt a new vision to strengthen and enhance the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in Southeast Asia.
