Attorney General Dato Seri Paduka Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa on Thursday reported key milestones achieved by his chambers at the opening of the Legal Year 2023.
The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) stands on the cusp of reflection and anticipation, acknowledging both triumphs and challenges. The focus, as emphasised in the address from the previous year, revolves around the Rule of Law and the AGC’s ongoing commitment to impartial justice, fair processes, equal treatment, and accountability.
In a testament to the theme of collaboration and engagement, the Chambers actively participated in international conferences, such as the 13th ASEAN-China Prosecutors-General Conference, the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers, and the inaugural Interface Session between the Justice Ministers of ASEAN and the G7. These events marked key milestones in building trust and enhancing cooperation in the field of law and justice regionally and beyond.
