Poverty alleviation and social welfare policies were brought up after LegCo member Yang Berhormat Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya’akub raised matters on economic challenges and quality of life at the 20th session of the Legislative Council meeting on Thursday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad spoke on long-term strategies in addressing social inequality and the positive impact of government initiatives in reducing poverty.
