ASEAN health ministries launch guidelines on food marketing (21.03.2024)

ASEAN member states including Brunei have developed 12 recommendations for regulating the marketing of food and non-alcoholic beverages to protect the future generation.

 

The Sultanate participated in the virtual launch of the ‘Minimum Standards and Guidelines on Actions to Protect Children from the Harmful Impact of Marketing Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages in the ASEAN Region’ recently. It was organised by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health as the lead country of the project and co-lead by the Philippines and Singapore with support from United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO) and Alive & Thrive.
