The first feature movie shot by Russian filmmakers in space, The Challenge, was screened at a celebration marking Cosmonautics Day, hosted by the Russian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam at its premises on Thursday.
The film, the first of its kind, showcased actors shot in space, telling a story of a surgeon sent to space to help an injured cosmonaut.
“The Cosmonautics Day is a milestone celebration that altered the course of human history as it commemorates the anniversary of the first manned spaceflight by Yuri Gagarin aboard Vostok 1 on April 12, 1961,” said Russian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Mikhail Vladimirovich Baranov during his welcoming remarks at the event.
