The Public Service Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Public Service Commission and the Civil Service Institute, hosted a charity recreation event at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien on Sunday, in conjunction with the 30th Civil Service Day celebration.
This event began at 6.30am with a warm-up session, followed by a 5.7-kilometre (km) cycling activity, a 2.5-km walkathon for male participants and a 1.6-km walkathon for female participants, all starting and ending at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, as co-chair of the executive committee of the 30th Civil Service Day celebration, sounded off the cycling event while the men’s and women’s walkathons were kicked off by Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad.
