“The enduring ties that we enjoy at all levels today truly reflect our shared history and accomplishments, initiated and built upon during the presidency of the late President Marcos Sr,” said His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Tuesday.
His Majesty said this in a titah during a state banquet at Istana Nurul Iman hosted by His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, in honour of Philippines President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, as well as the delegation who are in the country for a two-day state visit.
