National female wushu athlete Basma Lachkar continued her winning streak on Thursday by taking the gold medal in the women’s tai chi event at the 21st ASEAN University Games 2024 held in Indonesia. Basma Lachkar scored a high of 9.486 in women’s tai chi with her superb technical level.
According to national coach Li Hui, “Under the careful guidance of coach Zhao Chunjie, Basma has made a significant leap forward in her performance.
When the Brunei flag was hoisted and the national anthem was played during the prize presentation, I was extremely excited and proud to help bring glory to Brunei Darussalam.”
