Some 40 Year 7 students from St George’s School in the capital participated in the nationhood briefing ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating National Flag and National Anthem’ recently.

Acting Assistant Information Officer Mohammad Khaiddir Shah bin Haji Abdul Halim delivering the briefing, touched on the monarch, history and procedures of flag-hoisting, as well as background on the national anthem ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’. Students also participated in the nationhood quiz.

Organised by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office through its Nationhood Unit, Strategic Communications Division, the programme serves as one of the department’s continuous effort in instilling love for the monarch, religion, race and nation and is also hoped to strengthen the solidarity, patriotic and nationhood spirit in the students.
