The religious body of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday held a korban ceremony in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration at the Gadong Police Headquarters Surau.

Acting Commissioner of Police at the RBPF DCP Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin was the guest of honour.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police at the RBPF Yang Amat Mulia SAC Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammad Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, Deputy Superintendent of Police Muhammad Aimi Safwan bin Zalidin as the chair of the religious body, commanding officers, officers and personnel of the RBPF were also in attendance.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Laungan Takbir Hari Raya led by imam of Gadong Police Headquarters Surau APO Staff Sergeant Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar.

It proceeded with the presentation of sacrificial meat by the guest of honour to the recipients and concluded with a Doa Selamat.

This year, 12 participants took part in the korban ceremony involving two cows and four goats for sacrifice. – James Kon
