The spirit of togetherness was on full display as Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Mosque, in collaboration with the Village Consultative Council of Tungku and Katok, hosted the Hijrah Walkathon on Friday morning.
Held in conjunction with the new Islamic year and National Family Day 2025, the event kicked off at 5.00am in the mosque compound, drawing a crowd of local residents and members of the public.
The morning began with Fajr (dawn) prayers, followed by a Hijrah-themed sermon and community breakfast.
Participants then warmed up with light exercises before embarking on the 2.4-kilometre walk around the area, starting and finishing at the mosque. – Sim YH
