Religious ceremony marks royal birthday

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik’s 42nd birthday at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin followed by a special prayer in marking the occasion. Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof was the special guest.

Deputy ministers; permanent secretary; acting permanent secretary; acting deputy permanent secretary; head of departments; as well as officers and staff from the PMO and its departments were present.

The ceremony was held as a gesture of gratitude and to seek the blessings of Allah the Almighty for the continued health, longevity and well-being of His Royal Highness and the royal family.

The ceremony concluded with the congregational Asar prayer.
