The Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Department of Haj Affairs, will be organising a basic haj and umrah course to prepare prospective pilgrims physically, mentally and spiritually for the 1447 Hijrah pilgrimage season.
The course comprises six two-hour sessions every Sunday from 8am to 10am, starting on September 14 and concluding on October 19. It will be conducted simultaneously at seven selected mosques nationwide.
The venues in the Brunei-Muara District are Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Serusop; Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Kampong Sengkurong; Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Mentiri; and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque, Kampong Rimba.
Other locations are Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait for the Belait District; Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong for the Tutong District; and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar for the Temburong District.
Prospective pilgrims for the 1447 Hijrah, individuals on the waiting list and members of the public wishing to deepen their knowledge or intending to perform umrah are invited to attend. – Lyna Mohamad
