The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) football team lifted the Piala Keputeraan after a commanding 3-0 victory over the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) football team in the final at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on Saturday.
Striker Mohd Alinur Rashimy bin Haji Jefri proved instrumental, netting twice in the 32nd and 85th minutes, while Md Hafis bin Haji Mahari added a goal in the 46th minute to secure a comfortable win for MoHA.
Third place was shared by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Defence.
MoHA’s Md Hafis finished as the competition’s top scorer with nine goals, while Muhammad Najib bin Asri of PMO was named best goalkeeper. Two-goal hero Mohd Alinur Rashimy was named the best player in the final.
Minister at the PMO and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman witnessed the final and presented the prizes.
