ART screening required for royal birthday religious event (13.07.2022)

Government officers and staff as well as congregants attending Kesyukuran ceremony, Maghrib and Isyak prayers, Tahlil recitation and Doa Kesyukuran for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th birthday celebration are required to do antigen rapid test (ART) screenings prior to entering Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.

 

It is one of the requirements to attend the religious event today in marking the royal birthday.

 

Other requirements, according to a press statement by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, include wearing face mask at all times, refrain from shaking hands, practise social distancing, to bring personal prayer mat and sanitise hands.

 

Similar events will also take place at all mosques, suraus and prayer halls with the main focal point at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah from 5.45pm.

 

Other focal mosques are Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque, Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque, Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Setia Ali Mosque and Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Mosque in Brunei-Muara District; Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque and Pekan Seria Mosque in Belait District; Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong District; and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque for Temburong District.

 

Attendees are required to do ART screening at home and upload the results to BruHealth app or take a photo with their name, day, date and time written on the kit.

 

Only those tested negative for COVID-19 are allowed entry while those with fever, cough, cold, breathing difficulties and other symptoms are advised against attending the events.
