A full dress rehearsal for Thursday’s get-together with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the monarch’s 76th birthday celebration, was on Monday held at Padang Bandaran, Jalan Sultan in Belait.

Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty’s 76th Birthday Celebration oversaw the rehearsal, accompanied by Acting Belait District Officer Mohamad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed.

Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretary, heads of departments, senior officers and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) staff, as well as Belait District’s executive administrative committee members for the celebration were also present.

Chairman of Special Performances Radiman bin Haji Idris said the preparations for the get-together began a month.

“The performances are split into three distinct segments, each focussing on an aspect of the district before culminating in a grand finale,” he said.
