Cases under Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring remained at a high of 13 cases, with no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit.

 

The update on the COVID-19 situation in the Sultanate was shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily statement.

 

The COVID-19 vaccination coverage for citizens and residents who have received the third dose vaccination has increased to 74.1 per cent while 5.2 per cent have received the fourth dose.

 

Second dose vaccinations for children aged five to 11 is at a coverage rate of 78.3 per cent.

 

Meanwhile, 51.9 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have received the third dose of the vaccination.

 

A total of 1,871 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 187,130.
